50 States, 50 Can't-Miss Events

Grand Case - Curbside Food

Including a special event with your travel can be a lot of fun.  Sometimes you make your travel plans to coincide with a special event.  Other times you happen to find an event by chance.  In either case it is a great opportunity to get to know your destination and the people better.

For many years we vacationed near Lakeland, Florida.  Close by was Plant City, home of the Florida Strawberry Festival.  Bring it on!

Harmony Night Parade
Another time it was Harmony Night on St-Martin which is every Tuesday beginning in January for 12 weeks.  It's a mini-Carnival.  The main street of Grand Case is closed.  Restaurants sell food on the street.  There are craft and souvenir displays.  A parade wends its way through town twice.  What fun!

There's the Rocks Aroma Festival in Sydney.  It's a festival in July in the Rocks, about anything to do with coffee and more.  Besides a wonderful setting, it will appeal to the 'foodie' in most any person.

A little closer to home, here is a list of 50 can't miss events in the United States  - one per state.  Some are well known, some not so much.  Some are a little more unusual.
